Tasteful Europe introduces vegetables and meat to Vietnamese market

Justyna Pabian, Chargé d'Affaires of Poland to Vietnam, said that despite the COVID-19 impact, two-way trade turnover between the two countries increased by 12% last year.

Bilateral economic cooperation has been increasingly strengthened, with high expectations of further promoting trade between the two countries, especially in the agriculture sector, she confirmed.

The Polish capital of Warsaw is home to many Vietnamese restaurants which offers a fresh experience to Polish people, she said, expressing hope that Polish dishes will also bring new experiences to Vietnamese people.

Piotr Ziemann, president of Association of Butchers and Producers of Processed Meat of Poland, shared that at the ongoing Vietnam Expo 2023 there are three Vietnamese partners who want to become Polish frozen fruit distributors in the Vietnamese market.

Besides vegetables and fruits, Poland wishes to promote pork, beef, and poultry products to Vietnamese consumers, he noted, affirming 100% of Polish meat products are safe.

He expressed his wish that Polish products would be increasingly marketed in Vietnam.

Later on the same day a business meeting was organised, attracting crowds of Polish and Vietnamese businesses.

Tasteful Europe deals with safe food production in Europe, the principles of obtaining high-quality products, and their manufacturing processes as part of the food chain.

It discusses ideal climate and soil conditions for farming; modern technologies; and EU and global quality assurance systems, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GHP (Good Hygiene Practice), GAP (Good Agricultural Practices).

The products the programme promotes includes fresh, chilled and frozen beef and beef products; fresh, chilled and frozen pork and pork products; high-quality poultry; a wide variety of fruit; selected vegetables and processed fruit, and vegetable products.
