Smuggling ring of combine harvesters from Cambodia to Vietnam dismantled
VOV.VN - The Police Investigation Agency of Kien Giang province have decided to prosecute and detain four Vietnamese nationals involved in illegal transport of combine harvesters from Cambodia to Vietnam, said local police on May 30.

The ring comprises four members aged between 29 and 37 from Dong Thap and Long An provinces, southern Vietnam. They are being investigated for the crime of ‘Illegally transporting goods and currency across borders.’
The four detainees were said to transport the combine harvesters from Cambodia to Vietnam for sales.
Further investigation revealed that ring leader Tran Van Cuong, 37, had organised the smuggling of 18 combine harvesters, 15 of which were sold to a store in Vinh Long province.
A raid on the store later uncovered 29 undocumented combine harvesters, and the owner voluntarily surrendered another 34 machines, all without legal origin.
Authorities have temporarily seized and sealed a total of 63 combine harvesters for further investigation.
The case is still under investigation to identify all individuals and entities involved.
