Seminar promotes RoK’s investment in Ha Nam province
VOV.VN - A seminar was held on September 22 in Seoul as part of efforts to promote investment from the Republic of Korea (RoK) in the northern province of Ha Nam.
The event was jointly organised by the Ha Nam People's Committee of Ha Nam province, the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK, and the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), featuring the participation of roughly 100 Korean enterprises.
Upon addressing the workshop, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen Vu Tung underscored the importance of the event amid the country and the RoK promoting economic, trade, investment co-operation, and celebrating 30 years since the initial establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Vietnamese diplomat said that economic co-operation between the two sides is highly reciprocal and beneficial as the RoK's strengths are in manufacturing, with this being in line with Vietnam’s orientations for attracting foreign investors, developing industrialisation, and modernisation.
The RoK’s technologies, along with the openness of the Vietnamese economy, have contributed to enhancing the competitiveness of goods in the global value chain.
Truong Quoc Huy, chairman of the Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee, said that the province has a relatively favourable position in terms of attracting investors, especially Korean financiers who boast great potential in high technology and use environmentally-friendly technologies.
Huy went on to emphasise that Ha Nam has an open policy and has a clear commitment to reforming administrative procedures aimed at supporting investors in terms of land, workforce, and finance, as well as investment procedures.
The event will allow Korean businesses to gain greater insights into the northern province’s investment environment, thereby promoting future research and development activities and offering a fresh impetus to turning Ha Nam into a dynamic, convenient, safe, and successful investment destination for Korean investors.
