Seminar explores pricing strategies and booking trends in hospitality sector
VOV.VN - Price trends, tourist booking behavior, and technological solutions to support hotel business operations amid a volatile market were the key topics discussed at a seminar which was jointly held on April 9 in Quang Ninh province by the Global Tourism Promotion Organization (GTDO), Trip2vn, and STR.

In her keynote presentation, Velancia Teo, Southeast Asia Business Manager at STR, focused on hospitality trends in Vietnam. She shared the latest industry data, stressing the importance of strengthening market forecasting capabilities and adjusting pricing strategies to suit both peak and off-peak seasons.
Momoyo Matsuda, Accommodation Partner Manager at Google Travel Asia Pacific, explored the impact of artificial intelligence on how travelers search for and select accommodations. She highlighted the growing use of personalized recommendations and behavioral analysis in shaping user experiences.
Jimmy Nguyen, Senior Business Development Manager at SiteMinder, spoke about new trends in online booking. He noted that modern consumers tend to compare prices across multiple platforms and are heavily influenced by social media reviews and online ratings.
He added that hotel booking has become more than just finding a place to stay. It now involves an experiential journey that begins from the moment a user starts their online search.
