It was reported that the action programmes conducted by concerned ministries, branches and localities were appropriate and well-grounded.
By June this year, WTO action programmes were officially issued by 18 out of 21 ministries and branches and 53 out of 64 provinces and cities nationwide.
The MoIT proposed the Government set up a specialized system of State organizations to provide information and handle issues relating to the implementation of Vietnam’s commitments to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The ministry also proposed the Government adopt a mechanism of monitoring, checking and assessing the implementation of these action programmes.
It emphasized the need to define priorities for a number of territorial regions and fields and to tackle environmental issues in a strategic way.
The ministry added that a master programme should be devised to assess the impacts of Vietnam’s accession to the WTO and the results of implementing WTO action programmes across the country.
