Samsung to help train over 100 experts for supporting industries in 2019

VOV.VN - Samsung Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, launched a training programme in HCM City on April 16 aimed at assisting Vietnamese consultants to improve the production efficiency of local businesses in 2019.

As scheduled, the programme will consist of four training courses, two of which will be held in Hanoi, and an additional two held in HCM City. Each training course is due to last for 13 weeks and will take place later in the year.

Over 100 consultants are expected to take part in the training courses, thú doubling the total number of trained experts to roughly 200 in the 2018-2019 period.

Upon addressing the opening ceremony, Do Thang Hai, Minister of Industry and Trade (MoIT), emphasized that in recent times, the nation has received the support of the Republic of Korea’s government, organisations, businesses, and corporations across several co-operative projects in the industrial field.

As of 2014, Samsung have worked with the MoIT to greatly contribute to the increasing number of businesses becoming first-level suppliers for Samsung and being able to be involved in the wider global supply chain.

Mr Hai said the training programme is a practical activity for Vietnamese business community, noting that following completion of the training courses, trainees will become professional consultants, able to apply their knowledge and skills to projects to improve the production efficiency of their businesses and others nationwide.

Choi Joo Ho, general director of Samsung Vietnam said the results of last year’s training programme showed that co-operation between both parties has helped enhance the competitive edge of domestic businesses. Meanwhile, organizers have been able to make proper adjustments to bring higher efficiency to this year’s program.
