The Korea Exchange, Inc (KRX) and the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HASTC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Hanoi on November 14 to boost mutual cooperation between the two markets.

Under the MoU, both sides will share information in the areas of market supervision and management in order to enhance the development of their markets.

The KRX will offer training assistance to Vietnamese enterprises which are looking to mobilise international capital through listing on the Korean stock exchange.

The HASTC will cooperate with the KRX to guide Vietnamese businesses about the necessary procedures for listing on the KRX. HASTC Managing Director Tran Van Dung said that this event marks a new stage in the HASTC's cooperation with international stock markets.

The KRX is managing the world’s 17th largest stock market in terms of transaction volume while the HASTC has 155 listed companies with a total market capitalisation of approximately VND57 trillion.
