On the first day of the festival, an exhibition on Vietnam’s rice road was held on Hung Vuong Road, stretching from Tra Men T-junction to Fresh Water Lake exhibition culture centre.

The 1,200m long route is arranged by 47,000 pots of rice illustrating the growth of a typical plant in Vietnam. 

A competition for those who excel in rice cultivation also took place, drawing the participation of more than 100 farmers from Mekong Delta provinces. It offered an opportunity for farmers to exchange and learn about experience in agricultural production.
