The Vietnam Petroleum Technical Services Corporation (PTSC)’s turnover in the first half of this year increased by 177 percent to VND8,157 billion, said its General Director Nguyen Hung Dung at a meeting on July 15.

In the reviewed period, PTSC carried out contracts to supply special ships, ports, operational, maintenance services, manufacturing and installation services, and conducted seismic and geological surveys.

Its pre-tax profit reached VND385 billion, equal to 64 percent of this year’s plan and up by 54 percent compared to the same period last year.

PTSC is currently expanding to foreign markets and carrying out many big projects, such as building a Talisman drilling platform in Malaysia, sending its Binh Minh ship crew to work in China, Indonesia, Thailand and Russia, supplying DP2 ships to Malaysia and prepare for subsidiary companies to operate in Cuba and Venezuela.

On the same day, PTSC launched a Topside drilling platform for the Topaz project and inaugurated a project to develop the Bien Dong 1 oil field.
