Phone exports to US bring in nearly US$2 billion over two months
VOV.VN - The United States was the largest consumer of Vietnamese phones and components over the past two months, spending US$1.95 billion on the items, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

MoIT statistics show export earnings from the US market made up 21.2% of Vietnam’s total export value of the products, representing a fall of 15.4% year on year.
The US was followed by China with over US$1.45 billion and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with US$536,940.
Statistics also indicate Vietnam earned US$4.39 billion from the export of phones and components in February, a remarkable increase of 11.7% year on year. The February figure brought the total export value of the products to US$9.21 billion in the first two months of the year, down 3.1% compared to the same period from 2024.
Ongoing US-China trade tensions have had an impact on Vietnamese goods, with experts warning that Vietnamese businesses need to be cautious to ensure that Vietnamese goods entering the US are not subject to trade defence measures which may cause disadvantages for their export activities.
