Over 350 businesses attend Support Industries Business Matching

VOV.VN - More than 350 local and foreign businesses gathered in the central coastal city of Da Nang on July 5 to attend the Support Industries Business Matching 2019.

During the conference, the participating businesses had the chance to showcase their latest products to visitors.

Vietnam now has more than 1,800 businesses that specialize in producing spare parts and components. The capability of firms within the support industry and their qualifications have been improved in recent years as their products have met the domestic demands and have been available for export.

Do Thang Hai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, said the organisation of the event aims to assist businesses in gaining access to sufficient information relating to cutting-edge technologies.

Moreover, the conference also gives firms the chance to devise concrete plans in addition to accelerating the development of FDI businesses and other production enterprises.

The event, co-organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee, will make a major contribution to promoting the application of technologies, improving the efficiency of production activities, as well as helping businesses to participate in the global supply chain.

The global value chain represents both a challenge and a vital requirement for support industry enterprises, Hai said, noting that domestic businesses can only survive and develop if they can get involved in the global value chain.
