The forum offered an opportunity for 11 businesses from the four countries to share experiences in coping with the global economic crisis to promote co-operation for mutual development and boost regional economic growth.

The event also focused on discussing hot issues such as telecommunications, 3G bandwidth, fixed mobile convergence, satellite television, and environmentally-friendly technology.

From December 12, the Ministry of Information and Communications will chair a ministerial meeting of the four Mekong sub-region nations to expand investment opportunities and develop telecommunications in each country.
