Nexif Ratch Energy invests VND5,700 billion in Gia Lai's wind power project

VOV.VN - Singapore-headquartered Nexif Ratch Energy SE Asia Co., Ltd, one of the leading clean energy developers in the Asia-Pacific region has received an investment registration certificate for its Van Canh Binh Dinh wind power plant project totally capitalized at more than VND5,700 billion (nearly US$216 million).

Located in Van Canh district, Gia Lai province in the Central Highlands, the project is seen as a key step in turning the locality into a clean energy hub.

The plant is designed to have a capacity of 143 MW and supply about 391.8 million kWh of electricity per year to the national grid. Construction will cover more than 48 hectares, including turbine foundations, transformer stations, operations buildings and internal traffic systems.

Scheduled to run from the third quarter of this year to the third quarter of 2028, the project will operate for 50 years. It also aligns with Gia Lai’s large-scale renewable energy strategy, leveraging the province’s vast land and favorable climate for wind, solar, hydro, biomass and geothermal power.

Under the revised Power Development Plan VIII, Gia Lai has more than 9,600 MW of renewable energy projects planned, laying a foundation to become a leading clean energy center in Vietnam.

Once operational, the project will supply clean electricity, strengthen energy security, generate local budget revenue, create jobs, and stimulate the province’s overall economic growth.
