Nam Dinh pledges optimal conditions for Australian investments

VOV.VN - The northern coastal province of Nam Dinh always welcomes Australian investors and offers the most favourable conditions possible for them, Pham Gia Tuc, secretary of the provincial Party Committee, said at a recent meeting held with Australian businesses as part of his visit to Australia.

During the course of their stay, Tuc and his delegation held a working session alongside representatives of Unified Capital Partners (UCPS), an independent boutique provider of financial services, and the Australian Investment Network. They also attended a conference held on Nam Dinh’s trade and investment promotion in the country, with this event attracting the participation of representatives from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), as well as nearly 100 enterprises, educational organisations, and investors in Sydney.

The official was appreciative of the Australian market, outlining that the investment fields in which Nam Dinh province is interested in can also be considered as the strong fields of the Oceania country.

He therefore introduced the province's potential and strengths to Australian investors, as well as incentives for foreign investors when they meet all conditions of Vietnamese law. Indeed, Tuc affirmed that Nam Dinh always wishes for partners to invest in industrial parks, the green economy, and the circular economy.

Australian businesses put forward a range of co-operation initiatives with the locality in various fields such as trade, infrastructure, education and training, green energy, the circular economy, and other strong areas that both sides share concerns and priorities.

They also raised a range of questions regarding legal procedures, as well as difficulties they may encounter when investing in Nam Dinh, duly being given appropriate answers from provincial leader.

Within the framework of the conference, the provincial People’s Committee signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on co-operation in building and implementing the province's growth strategy in the near future with the Saigon Telecommunications and Technologies Corporation (SaiGonTel) and the Australia Global Consulting Ltd.

The Cat Tuong Group and the Australian Wool Growers’ Association also inked an MoU on factory investment at Nam Dinh’s Rang Dong industrial park moving forward, with the Australian association pledging an investment of AUD100 million (US$66.1 million) into the Vietnamese locality.
