Speaking at the opening ceremony, Phan Xuan Thuy, deputy general director of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV), emphasised that the exhibition provides a good chance for businesses to access new technological trends such as artificial intelligence, and automation.
Amid the global shift toward greener and more digital mining models, TKV is prioritising the application of technology across its entire value chain. The group aims to develop smart mines and factories while enhancing energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and expanding international cooperation.
Wong Chiang Tat, general director of Informa Markets Vietnam, the event organiser, said that the exhibition serves as a strategic platform to promote innovation and international collaboration. With rising demand for coal, minerals, construction materials, and energy driven by urbanisation and industrialization, the event is expected to enhance productivity, competitiveness, and sustainable development across the industry.
With its large scale and the participation of many reputable businesses and organisations, Mining & Construction Vietnam 2026 is expected to provide fresh momentum for Vietnam’s mining and construction sectors, supporting their transition toward modernisation, sustainability, and deeper integration into the global value chain.
