Giant IT group Microsoft and Vietnam’s information technology service company HTP will work together to provide Vietnamese enterprises with IT solutions and help them improve IT applications.

The two companies signed a strategic cooperation deal in Ho Chi Minh City on September 28 during a visit to the city by Microsoft’s Senior Vice President Jean Phillipe Courtois.

The Microsoft official met with the Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee, Le Hoang Quan, and reiterated the group’s commitment to long-term cooperation in providing advanced IT solutions and human resources training.

The group also allowed Saigon Tourist to use its software products under a copyright purchasing deal signed on September 28.

On the same day, Microsoft officially strengthened its cooperative relationship with Vietnam’s largest joint stock commercial bank, the ACB, by signing a memorandum of understanding with a strong commitment to provide technical support and software from now untill 2009.
