MEGA US EXPO 2025 attracts over 200 Korean exhibitors
VOV.VN - More than 200 exhibitors from 15 key industrial cities of the Republic of Korea (RoK) and numerous Vietnamese startups are showcasing products and technologies at the Multi-Trend Expo & Global Business People’s HUB (MEGA US EXPO) 2025 that kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on August 14.

The international expo, positioned as a multi-industry trade and innovation hub, also drew representatives from over 30 startup support centres, research institutes, universities, and innovation organizations from both countries. It aims to foster sustainable cooperation, with a focus on developing incubation programmes, forming joint ventures, and advancing technology commercialization between Vietnam and the RoK.
Four key sectors are highlighted: food, cosmetics, technology and content creation, and consumer products. Alongside multi-sector product displays and specialized technological solutions, the Hybrid Exhibition & B2B Matching model enables both in-person and online connections, offering a comprehensive, cost-effective trade promotion experience.
Notably, the programme also features the Univ.Star Student Startup Idea Contest and the Venture Star investment pitching program. In Venture Star, Vietnamese and Korean startups present directly to investment funds, establish trade links, and engage in technology transfer. The top three projects will receive sponsorship to participate in investment pitching sessions in Korea and workspace support at SIHUB. The Univ.Star contest attracted over 170 projects from more than 600 students representing 37 universities in Ho Chi Minh City and 11 universities in the RoK, aiming to train, mentor, and support students in refining their business models.
In his opening remarks, Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, hailed the expo as a testament to the deepening strategic partnership between Vietnam and the RoK, as well as between Ho Chi Minh City and its Korean partners. Amid global economic uncertainties, he said, the city continues to sustain its growth momentum, effectively implement domestic and international trade promotion programmes, leverage free trade agreements, and advance innovation, science and technology, and digital transformation in line with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
MEGA US EXPO 2025 is expected to attract over 9,000 visitors and generate at least 2,000 business matching sessions, contributing to the formation of incubation programmes, joint ventures, and technology commercialisation projects between Vietnam and the RoK.
