Medi-pharm Expo back after two years of COVID-19 delay
VOV.VN - The 29th Vietnam International Exhibition on Products, Equipment, Supplies for Pharmaceutical, Medical, Hospital and Rehabilitation (Vietnam Medi-pharm Expo 2022) opened its doors on May 11 in Hanoi following a two-year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event, jointly held by the Ministry of Health, Vietnam Medical Import-Export JSC (VIMEDIMEX VN), and Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC (VIETFAIR), attracted over 150 foreign and domestic exhibitors, including those from Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Taiwan (China), Australia, the United States, Belarus, and the Czech Republic.
More than 200 booths spanning a total area of 3,000 square metres have been erected to showcase the latest achievements and products of the local pharmaceutical sector, including medical equipment for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centres.
Forums discussing the market for domestic medical equipment and a conference relating to applying traditional medicine to care for and improve people's health will be held on the sidelines of the expo.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen noted that the expo serves as a forum for businesses, producers, and distributors to promote their products and technologies, exchange experiences, and seize upon fresh business opportunities.
It also represents a good chance for doctors and nurses nationwide to gain access to the latest pharmaceutical products, advanced medical equipment, and technology in order to improve their capacities in protecting, caring for, and improving people's health, Deputy Minister Tuyen stressed.
The event held at the Friendship Cultural Palace on 91 Tran Hung Dao street in Hanoi is scheduled to last through to May 14.
