A grand opening ceremony of the Manufacturing Vietnam 2008 was officially held in Hanoi on May 8. It is an exposition of five manufacturing industries - plastic, mold and die, automotive parts, automation, and electronic parts in a comprehensive manner with technologies of more than 500 companies coming from 30 countries. They are InterPlas Vietnam 2008, InterMold Vietnam 2008, Automotive manufacturing Vietnam 2008, Automation Vietnam 2008 and Nepcon Vietnam 2008.
Nichapa Yasawi, Managing Director of Reed Tradex Company, said that an exhibition of five giant machinery and technology shows held at the same venue and same time will bring the highest benefit to Vietnamese manufacturers. They do not have to travel abroad to update technology but just spend three days from 8 to 10 May to learn about innovative technologies from Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, China, Thailand, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden and Germany.
During the three-day exhibition, in addition to displaying more than 500 technologies, there are 5 exhibition highlights.
Robot Show: A major industry feature, more than 10 ‘industrial robots’ from such leading brands as ABB, OTC and Yaskawa, will show what they are capable of performing.
Industrial Robots in Concert: Yaskawa will show robots from Japan will be shown in Vietnam for the first time and Southeast Asia, twice a day at 10am and 3pm.
Welding Competition: More than 100 welders will compete to find out the best skill with more than VND49 million in prizes. This competition is jointly organised with Vietnam-German Technology Transfer and Training Centre (HwC) with the aim of improving welding in Vietnam to an international level. On May 10, the last day of the show, prizes will be awarded.
Thai Mold Maker Pavilion and Thai Subcon: This pavilion will show the skills of Thai mold makers and Sub-contractors in the automotive industry. They aim to find partners for production and networking to open a market in Vietnam.
