Malaysian, Chinese businesses seek stronger partnerships

Executives from 120 Malaysian businesses and 62 Chinese counterparts have sought opportunities to forge closer economic ties for the two countries.

They gathered at the second business dialogues co-hosted by the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) and the China Economic Cooperation Centre of the Communist Party of China (CECC) in Kuala Lumpur on September 2.

They focused discussion on finance, trade, investment, infrastructure, e-commerce, “green” industries, and agricultural products.

Addressing the event, MCA President Liow Tiong Lai said a multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-religious society is an advantage that allows Malaysia the ability to establish “popular communication” with China, ASEAN, India and West Asia.
