The Malaysian Foreign Trade Promotion Company (Matrade) announced on February 11 that the country will increase its export services in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, China and Europe.

Wong Lai Sum, Deputy Trade Promotion Director of Matrade said that the company has organised a conference to introduce investment opportunities in Vietnam with Malaysian companies, and it will hold other workshops on the same theme in a number of Asian and European countries.

About half of the country’s investment projects belong to the service sector and are expected to contribute around 60 percent of Malaysia’s total GDP by 2020.

Last year, exports in the sector surpassed imports thanks to the government’s support for domestic companies seeking partners overseas.
