Major corporations eye investment opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City
VOV.VN - Several major corporations, including De Heus Group, Heineken, and Hung Nhon Group, are actively exploring investment opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City across key sectors such as high-tech agriculture, logistics, and international financial services.

Representatives of these corporations unveiled their plans during a meeting on October 2 with municipal leaders, showing their strong interest in investing in the city’s strategic areas.
Gabor Fluit, Global CEO of De Heus Group, emphasised the company’s special interest in Ho Chi Minh City’s orientation toward becoming a regional financial hub. He sees this as an opportunity to expand cooperation between Dutch and Vietnamese businesses, especially as more Dutch companies are increasing investments in Vietnam in areas like green energy, digitalisation, and sustainable urban development.
He also called for the city’s support in facilitating legal and administrative procedures in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
Meanwhile, Hung Nhon Group Chairman Vu Manh Hung echoed similar sentiments, stating the company’s interest in developing a logistics centre in the city and neighboring provinces. He called for swift administrative support to accelerate the project's implementation.
In response, HCM City Administration Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc reaffirmed Ho Chi Minh City’s commitment to administrative reform, aimed at creating a more favourable and efficient environment for investors.
The city is actively directing departments and agencies to streamline procedures, boost digital public services, and improve the quality of the Public Administration Service Centre, he said.
With regard to infrastructure, Duoc revealed that the city is planning significant investments in urban railways and freight transport systems connected to seaports through 2035, aiming to ease congestion and reduce logistics costs.
In addition, it is seeking partnerships with businesses to support workforce development and training, with a focus on building a highly skilled labour force.
“The city is always ready to listen to the business community, address obstacles, and work alongside enterprises for sustainable, long-term development,” stressed the official.
