Lotte Mart week gives 40 Vietnamese businesses access to modern retail network
VOV.VN - A week-long business-matching and product showcase at Lotte Mart in Ho Chi Minh City is giving 40 Vietnamese businesses an opportunity to access modern retail channels, improve product quality and expand markets.
The event, which opened on October 8, is organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in cooperation with Lotte Vietnam Shopping Center Co., Ltd.
The programme is one of the city's key trade promotion initiatives, aimed at helping businesses, cooperatives and production establishments promote quality Vietnamese products and bring them closer to consumers through modern retail channels.
Lee Yong Ho, Product Group Senior Director of Lotte Mart Vietnam, said the business-matching programme marks an important step in cooperation between the retailer and ITPC to promote domestic goods.
According to him, Lotte Mart is seeking to expand its partnerships with reputable suppliers to offer consumers a wider range of products. As part of the event, the retailer will directly survey and assess products from participating Vietnamese businesses across various sectors and discuss ways to help producers improve their competitiveness and meet standards for quality, safety and traceability.
With a focus on safe and innovative products that reflect the distinctive characteristics of different regions, Lotte Mart will continue supporting Vietnamese businesses in developing their brands and accessing wider markets through its global distribution network, Lee affirmed.
Le Anh Hoang, deputy director of ITPC, said global economic and trade uncertainty, rising input costs and changes in international trade policies are creating challenges for businesses.
Alongside diversifying export markets, making better use of the domestic market and strengthening links between producers and distributors are practical ways to expand sales channels and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods, Hoang added.
The event is open to shoppers and visitors through October 12.
