The centre wins the Bronze Cup designed for the successful retailer in Vietnam - the same prize it got a year ago.

To mark the event, the centre will launch as from August 15 a programme called “Nguyen Kim and Gold Week 08” during which customers will be offered a 20 percent discount for electronic appliances of well-known labels such as JVC, Sony, LG, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sanyo and Toshiba, at its outlets nationwide.

In 2007, the Commercial Cooperative Union (Saigon Co.op) received the gold award for the fourth time, while Saigon Jewelry Holding Company (SJC) bagged its second silver.

The annual awards, beginning in 2004, honour 500 top performing retailers in 14 regional economies, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
