At the meetings, the delegation introduced the province’s potential and the preferential policies it has for foreign investors, especially in dragon fruit, wood products, frozen fish exports and tourism.
American businesses were keen to study the province’s export products and projects that are calling for investment. They also provided information about the US market and the requirements for quality, and design as well as the procedures for exporting goods to the US.
Le Quoc Hung, Vietnam’s consul general in San Francisco, emphasised on the importance of strengthening economic relations between Vietnam and the US in general and between Vietnamese provinces and California in particular. He affirmed that the consulate will do its utmost to support Vietnamese localities to promote investment and trade activities as well as strengthening links with the US in education, training, science and technology.
