The Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, an affiliate of Vinashin group, handed over a 53,000 tonne cargo vessel to Britain’s GRAIG Group on April 29 in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh.

Being a new-generation cargo vessel, SOPHIA includes five well-equipped cellars with a combined capacity of 65,700 cu.m.

The ship will start its work by carrying GRAIG’s cargos from Vietnam to Thailand.

The SOPHIA ship is the second of the 15 vessels that the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) has signed to build for GRAIG Group.
