Laos, Vietnam share experience in financial management
(VOV) - Laos Deputy Prime Minister Bunpon Buttanavong has shared with the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance (MoF) experience in State budget and financial management, dealing with debts, and preventing negative practices by financial officials.
At a working session with Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung in Hanoi on October 6, Bunpon Buttanavong said despites great efforts in financial and State budget management, there remain obstacles ahead.
For his part, Dung emphasised that similarities in financial situation will help Vietnam and Laos compare notes in many issues, especially in reducing losses to the State budget.

Dung said comprehensive measures are needed to ensure State revenue. He added that the Vietnamese financial sector has coordinated with relevant ministries and localities to strictly carry out inspection to claim debts and avoid losses.
The tax and customs sectors have reformed and modernised themselves to make their performance more efficient.
At the working session, the two sides also discussed other issues of mutual concern.
