Since early this year nearly 290 businesses have registered to open representative offices in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong with a total capitalisation of more than VND1,300 billion, up 12 times more than the same period last year.
The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee has granted licences to more than 100 projects with a combined investment capital of more than VN21,000 billion and rejected 13 projects valued at more than VND200 billion in total.
*** On request of Lam Dong authorities, recently businesses in Ho Chi Minh City provided around VND44 billion for a housing scheme. Currently Lam Dong has more than 3,500 poor households, only one-tenth of which has benefited from the project.
