This information was announced at a ceremony in Hanoi on May 23.

To this effect, Jetstar Pacific Airlines has become a joint stock aviation company with its controlling interest held by the state run State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) and will be under the management of Australia’s low-cost airline, Qantas Airways.

Speaking at the ceremony, the company’s General Director Luong Hoai Nam stressed that the change will create favourable conditions for the company to implement its strategies and plans to become a leading low-cost airline in Vietnam, contributing to the development of Vietnamese aviation.
