Hung Yen boosts trade and investment ties in Czech Republic

VOV.VN - A delegation from Vietnam’s northern province of Hung Yen led by Le Xuan Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Council, held a trade and investment promotion seminar and worked with local agencies, associations, and businesses in Prague on August 19.

At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam provided an overview of the local socio-economic context and the Vietnamese community. He reaffirmed that the embassy will continue serving as a bridge to help localities from both nations expand cooperation and effectively tap their bilateral potential.

For his part, Tien expressed appreciation for the warm reception and applauded the growth and integration of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. Outlining Hung Yen's key strengths in industrial development, logistics, urban planning, high-tech agriculture, and education, he voiced a desire to boost partnerships with leading Czech and European enterprises to help local products gain deeper access to the EU market. He also encouraged overseas Vietnamese businesses to collaborate closely with provincial authorities and local firms.

Participating enterprises exchanged views on potential cooperation areas, agreeing to enhance information sharing and pursue practical joint ventures. Provincial leaders reaffirmed Hung Yen's focus on administrative reform and transparent incentive policies, pledging to offer favorable conditions for foreign businesses to invest and operate with confidence.

During the visit, the delegation also held working sessions with the Vietnamese Embassy, the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech Republic and Europe, local Vietnamese business representatives, and the Hung Yen Fellow-Countrymen Association.
