Honda rolls out first electric scooter ICON e: in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Honda Vietnam officially rolled out its first electric scooter, the ICON e: at its production line in Vinh Phuc province on March 27, marking a significant step in the company’s electrification strategy in the Vietnamese market.
First unveiled at the Vietnam Auto & Motorcycle Exhibition 2024, the ICON e: has quickly captured customer attention with its youthful, modern, and premium design, along with a host of advanced safety features.
The scooter is equipped with a removable, waterproof lithium-ion battery, a CBS advanced braking system and a premium LED lighting system.
The product is manufactured through Honda’s state-of-the-art production system, with strict quality control measures at every stage, from raw materials to final assembly, ensuring the highest precision and consistency.
Honda Vietnam has set ambitious sustainability goals of cutting CO2 emissions by 46% by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. To realize this vision, the firm continues to invest in advanced technologies and key strategic projects, paving the way for a modern, sustainable green mobility era.
A key milestone in this journey is the development of electric motorcycles in Vietnam, with the ICON e: leading the charge.
The product is expected to be commercially marketed in April 2025.
