Hoa Loc co-operative in Hoa Hung commune, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province, has exported 10 tonnes of sweet mangoes to the Japanese market under an export contract for 100 tonnes signed with Japanese importers recently.
To serve the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, Hoa Loc co-operative has brought over 300 tonnes of sweet mangoes to the market, according to the co-operative’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thuc.
Up to present, almost all these mangoes have been sold at VND25,000 per kilogram on average.
The co-operative now has 86 members and 100 hectares of plantations producing 400 tonnes of mangoes per year.
Tien Giang province now has more than 4,000 hectares of Hoa Loc sweet mangoes, mainly in Cai Be district.
