High-quality Vietnamese exports impress at China-South Asia Expo
VOV.VN - Vietnamese enterprises have made a strong impression at the ongoing 9th China-South Asia Expo (CSA Expo) and the 29th Kunming Import and Export Fair, by showcasing a wide range of key export products, aiming to expand markets and promote international trade cooperation.

Vietnam participated with 130 booths, representing 70 businesses from various provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Binh Thuan, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Da Nang, Thanh Hoa, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, and Bac Ninh. The showcased products highlighted the country’s key export items, including seafood, cashew nuts, black pepper, coffee, dragon fruit, dried cassava, coconut processed products, footwear, perfumes, and wooden furniture.
The products were warmly received by visitors and international partners, with particular interest in items like coffee, durian, wooden goods, and bird’s nest, all praised for their high quality and strong branding. Other items such as cashew nuts and black pepper also stood out, garnering positive feedback and increasing global awareness of Vietnamese products.
Nguyen Tan Duc, head of Business Support Division at the Lao Cai Investment and Trade Promotion Centre, stated that Lao Cai maintains strong trade relations with Yunnan through annual business delegations participating in this expo.
“This year, in addition to showcasing local export strengths, we have also featured various Vietnamese products such as coffee, cashew nuts, and bird’s nest. We have sent seven import-export enterprises to the fair, aiming to connect with partners and sign agreements in logistics and trade,” said Duc.
Co-organised annually by China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Yunnan provincial government, the expo serves as a vital economic bridge in the region. Given Yunnan’s strategic location bordering four Vietnamese provinces, it plays a key role in facilitating the flow of Vietnamese goods, especially agricultural and forestry products, into Southwest China.
The expo that features around 8,000 booths from over 30 countries and territories worldwide not only helps promote Vietnamese products to Chinese and international partners but also contributes to fostering trade, partnership, and sustainable regional development. It is scheduled to last through to June 24.
