The Ministry of Transport has assigned the Vietnam Railways Administration to carry out a US$4 billion high-speed rail line project linking HCM City to Can Tho City, using technology from the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The Southern Transport Engineering Design Joint Stock company and RoK consultant Chungsuk are conducting a feasibility study on the route and will select the best option in the earliest possible time.
The route would start at either Thu Thiem or Hoa Hung railway stations in HCM City and finish at Cai Rang district, or Binh Thuy district, or O Mon district in Can Tho City, with a total length of around 100km.
The route is designed for passenger trains which can run at a maximum speed of 350km/h once completed.Đăng ẩn
