A delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee led by its vice chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hong has visited Germany to study some markets and boost trade and economic cooperation with German cities.
The delegation had a working session with representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and the administration council of the Vietnam Trade, Investment, Culture and Tourism Promotion Centre (VietHaus - AG), the Dong Xuan Trade Centre, the Pacific International Trade Centre (ITC) and the Vietnam Business Association in Germany.
Ms Hong highlighted HCM City’s advantages and potential for economic development in various fields. She also wanted to promote exchanges and expand trade and economic relations with German businesses.
Both sides discussed measures to boost cooperation in several fields, including promoting exports to Germany and other European countries.
During their stay in Germany, the Vietnamese delegation visited an exhibition on handicraft products and home appliances in Frankfurt, the Pacific International Trade Centre and some wholesale markets in Berlin to gain more experience in developing trade.
