Hanoi vows to facilitate Thai enterprises

Hanoi always creates favourable conditions for Thai enterprises to seek opportunities and land investment in the city, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said.

During his reception for outgoing Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Panyarak Poolthup on December 22, the Hanoi leader expressed his hope that the diplomat, in his new position, will continue supporting and promoting Vietnam-Thailand relations to a new height, particularly the ties between Hanoi and Thai major cities and enterprises.

For his part, the Ambassador pledged to do his utmost to deepen the comprehensive cooperation between two nations.

Last year, two-way trade reached US$10.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%. Thailand is currently among top 10 investors in Vietnam with over 300 valid projects.

Two countries target to raise two-way trade to US$15 billion by 2020.
