Hanoi trade fair features products made in China’s Zhejiang province

VOV.VN - A trade fair kicked off on September 28 at the International Centre of Exhibition in Hanoi, showcasing a wide range of export products manufactured by enterprises based in China’s Zhejiang province.

Spanning an area of 4,000 square metres, the 2022 Zhejiang International Trade Exhibition and the 10th Zhejiang Export Fair attracted the participation of 130 booths from more than 100 exhibitors.

Exhibited products on show at the function include hardware and machinery, textiles and inputs, interior and exterior furniture, electronics and household appliances.

Upon addressing the opening ceremony, Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), To Ngoc Son, deputy director of the Asia-Africa Market Department, highlighted the event as a vital activity in enhancing trade ties between Vietnam and China, with a specific focus on Vietnamese localities and Zhejiang.

He added that maintaining trade promotion activities through fairs represents a good way of boosting trade turnover between the two countries, and creates plenty of opportunities for both nations' enterprises to exchange information, conduct market research, seek business partners, and contribute to strengthening joint economic and trade co-operation.

Currently, China remains the largest trade partner, largest export market, and the second largest importer of Vietnam.

Chen Cui, general manager of Zhejiang Yuanda International Exhibition Co., Ltd., said that the fair is the largest and oldest expo independently held by China’s Zhejiang authorities in ASEAN.

The fair, open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., is expected to draw over 5,000 visitors.

The three-day event will also feature various sidelines events, such as a seminar on e-commerce from China’s perspective, a symposium on international trade promotion in the era of Industry 4.0, a Vietnam-China business matching model, and a bicycle test tour.
