The Vietnam International Electrical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (Vietnam ETE 2008) will take place at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi on December 11-13.

Businesses from countries such as China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Germany, Russia, the US, France, India and Vietnam will set up 300 stalls showcasing new technologies and equipment for thermal and hydro-electric power plants and other using gas turbine, geo-thermal energy, solar energy, nuclear energy, wind power, recycled energy and new energy sources.


At a press briefing in Hanoi on August 12, Hoang Thai An, president of the Vietnam Electro-Technical Industry Association (VELINA) said that the exhibition will provide a good chance for domestic producers and customers to access the world’s advanced technologies and equipment to save electricity consumption.


Seminars and forums on the development strategy for the electricity sector, investment projects, market potential, electrical technology and equipment, and new products and technologies will also be held during the exhibition.


The organizing board will present prizes for outstanding products and trademarks.
