Hanoi hosts major int’l plastics and rubber industry exhibition
The 13th Hanoi International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (HanoiPlas 2025) opened on June 4, drawing over 200 exhibitors from 11 countries and territories across more than 9,000 square metres of display space.
The event is organised at the International Centre for Exhibition in Hoan Kiem district by the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (VINEXAD), the Yorkers Exhibition Service Vietnam Co. Ltd, and the Vietnam Plastics Association.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Le Hoang Tai, deputy director of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, highlighted HanoiPlas 2025 as a reputable annual platform that has consistently drawn top-tier domestic and international manufacturers in the plastics and rubber industries.
The 2025 edition showcases cutting-edge technologies, modern production and management systems, and new technological trends that are expected to improve the quality and competitiveness of Vietnamese products and expand businesses' access to international partners and markets.
Participating companies are showcasing a wide range of modern machinery, advanced materials, sustainable recycling solutions, and smart manufacturing technologies.
Highlights include cutting-edge injection moulding, film-blowing, and extrusion technologies, along with a variety of plastics materials and additives. Recycling and circular production solutions are also on show, alongside smart manufacturing tools for automation and digital monitoring.
The four-day exhibition also provides practical knowledge through a series of seminars, including those on the polyolefin market, next-generation packaging, and ultra-clear polypropylene.
Vietnam’s plastics market is forecast to grow from 10.92 million tonnes in 2024 to 16.36 million tonnes by 2029, with a compound annual growth rate of 8.44%. Meanwhile, rubber exports reached US$3.45 billion in 2024, up 18% year-on-year, underlining Vietnam’s growing role in global supply chains.
