Hanoi based company wins at hackathon

VOV.VN -Hanoi based tech start-up, Gamota, has won the first ever Facebook hackathon in Vietnam for its beta version of a business management application.

Gamota received US$80,000 in cash and credit to use Facebook Web Services’ web hosting tools to complete a release version of the beta business management application.

The purpose of the hackathon competition was to challenge local innovators to develop apps that address real-world operational challenges faced by businesses within a 24-hour time limit.

Each participating team was equipped with several tools to use to develop their ideas. The products were judged by a panel and based on a set of criteria.

In the competition, Gamota, developed an application that helps businesses more efficiently manage their Facebook pages by using filters and algorithms to streamline the process and protect against copyright infringement.
