The province has drawn in 17 foreign investment projects since the beginning of this year, up 33 percent compared with the total number of projects in 2007.
Most of the projects are focused on industry and construction. The investors come from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Malaysia and Japan, in particular, the RoK has the most investors with 6 projects and a total capital of US$827 million over the past five months.
The province has also attracted 48 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of US$600 million, increasing by 31.3 percent over the same period last year. They include 30 projects in the areas of construction and industry, 10 projects in tourism and services, 7 projects in healthcare and education and one project in agriculture and forestry.
