Ground broken on VND4.15 trillion industrial park in Da Nang

VOV.VN - Ground was broken on March 29 for the Tam Anh- An An Hoa Industrial Park in the central city of Da Nang, a project with total investment of more than VND4.15 trillion, marking the 51st anniversary of the city’s liberation (March 29, 1975- March 29, 2026).

The ground-breaking ceremony took place in Tam Anh commune, with National Assembly Vice Chairmen Nguyen Duc Hai and Tran Quang Phuong in attendance, along with municipal leaders.

The project is developed by An An Hoa Industrial Park and Urban Development JSC, a member of Geleximco Group. It covers nearly 436 hectares and received in-principle approval from the Prime Minister in 2021.

Located in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, the industrial park has access to road, rail, air, sea and inland waterway transport, offering favourable logistics conditions.

The project is designed as a modern eco-industrial park, prioritising high-tech, clean industries and high value-added sectors such as electronics, mechanical engineering, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, materials, deep processing, logistics and warehousing, along with supporting services.

It helps form a new industrial development space, expand industrial land and create momentum for the southern part of the city. It also contributes to completing the industrial land fund within the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone in line with approved planning.

Once operational, the industrial park will connect with nearby zones such as Tam Hiep, Chu Lai-Truong Hai and Bac Chu Lai to form an integrated production and logistics network.

In his speech, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai said the groundbreaking, held on the anniversary of Da Nang’s liberation, carries special significance, reflecting a continuation from the city’s revolutionary tradition to its development aspirations.

He said Chu Lai-Nui Thanh, once a site of fierce wartime battles, is now turning that spirit into a driving force for economic development.

According to him, the project is not just an infrastructure project but also a clear example of efforts to shift the growth model, improve development quality and efficiency, and implement major national policies on industrial development and the private sector.

In the context of the proposed merger of Quang Nam and Da Nang, the project helps shape a unified development space with synchronised infrastructure, turning the southern area into a new growth engine.

He called on Da Nang to develop the project along high-tech, green and circular lines, adapt to climate change, and balance industrial growth with environmental protection and social welfare.
He said the city should continue to support the project, focus on removing difficulties, speed up administrative procedures, particularly compensation, site clearance and resettlement, ensure favourable conditions for implementation and early completion, and continue to attract investment in infrastructure such as airports and seaports in line with approved planning.
