At the start of trading on April 7, domestic gold prices were hovering around VND26.22 million/tael while the world’s gold price kept increasing slightly.

Thang Long Dragon gold from the Bao Tin Minh Chau Company in Hanoi stood at VND26.12-26.22 million/tael, rising by VND20,000-30,000/tael compared to transactions the previous day.

At the same time, SJC gold was listed at VND26,11-26,17 million/tael, down by VND30,000/tael against April 6.

PNJ-DAB gold from the Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company was at VND26,12-26,16 million/tael and the Sacombank system listed SBJ gold at VND26,15-26,19 millon/tael.

The State Bank of Vietnam later announced the inter-bank exchange rate at VND18,544 per US dollar.

On April 6, the world gold price in New York opened at US$1,130 per ounce and closed at US$1,134 per ounce.
