Giant cranes made in Vietnam shipped to central port
Two giant cranes made domestically were shipped to Nghi Son Oil Refinery Port in the north-central coastal province of Thanh Hoa.
They are able to lift 50-tonne containers, much more than the rubber-tired cranes, said Kim Yong Soo, Deputy General Director of the Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Co. Ltd (Doosan Vina).
Earlier, Doosan Vina manufactured four rubber-tired gantry cranes for Saigon Port in Ho Chi Minh City and Danang Port in Danang.
Located at Dung Quat Economic Zone in the central province of Quang Ngai, Doosan Vina is one of the largest overseas manufacturing factories established through joint investment from the Republic of Korea-based Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, and Doosan Engineering and Construction.
