The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) has announced that it will host a French Week in Hanoi from November 21-28.

The event aims to create conditions for French businesses to learn about the Vietnamese market and introduce Vietnamese businesses to French goods and hi-technology.

At a recent meeting in Paris attracting 120 local officials and businesses, the organising board spoke of Vietnam’s advantages and the ideal timing of the French Week in Hanoi, which coincides with celebrations of Hanoi’s 1,000th anniversary.

During the event, the CCIP will hold an exhibition to introduce France’s various industries, high-quality products, services, cosmetics and food and wine processing technology.

High on the agenda will be a round-table on bilateral trade exchanges and urban management policy to help Hanoi reduce pollution and save energy.

Also at the meeting, the organising board highlighted Vietnam’s prospects for development and encouraged French businesses to invest in the country.
