Foreign firms keen to invest in oil refining projects in Quang Tri
VOV.VN - Leaders of the Quang Tri provincial People's Committee have recently worked with a joint venture of investors in order to get involved in pouring funds into the Lao Oil Refinery project in the Quang Tri Southeast Economic Zone.
Investors in the project include Sun Commercial Import - Export and Service Co., Ltd of Laos, BFA Trading Service Production One Member Co., Ltd of Vietnam, and Green Power Global LCC Company of the United States.
At the meeting, Souvanh Keosa Vang, a representative of the joint venture of investors, revealed that the project is around 100 hectares in scale and aims to use crude oil as raw materials in order to produce fuels such as oil, gasoline, and gas with advanced technologies.
He expressed his wish that the leaders of Quang Tri province will create the optimal conditions possible for investors seeking to conduct surveys at the Quang Tri Southeast Economic Zone and in the surrounding seaports in order to study the building of bonded petroleum depots.
Ha Sy Dong, standing vice chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, said the locality has assigned relevant agencies to help investors conduct field surveys and gaining greater access to the incentive investment policies.
According to details given by the Management Board of Quang Tri Economic Zone, at present the Quang Tri Southeast Economic Zone so far has 55 registered investment projects with a total registered capital exceeding VND375,000 billion.
