Financial Insights 2025 strengthens Vietnam-UK business ties

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Finance and Investment Association in the UK (VIFA) recently hosted Financial Insights 2025 in London’s financial district, drawing over 50 participants, including financial experts, asset managers, and members of the Vietnamese business community in the UK.

The event aims to exchange knowledge, update investment trends, and reinforce financial and business relations between Vietnam and the UK.

The program opened with a presentation from BritCham Vietnam introducing the UK- Vietnam Business Summit 2025, an annual event designed to connect enterprises from both countries. The summit will focus on renewable energy and the development of the International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring in-depth workshops, a gala dinner, and business promotion activities to facilitate direct cooperation and dialogue among participating companies.

During his speech, Matt Ryland, CEO of BritCham Vietnam, highlighted the Chamber’s role in supporting over 240 organizations, hosting approximately 70 events annually, and maintaining six specialized groups covering education, finance, energy, ESG, technology, and trade.

He emphasized that the UK-Vietnam Business Summit 2025 represents a pivotal milestone, opening avenues for cooperation, sponsorship, and knowledge exchange between Vietnamese and UK enterprises.

Following this, Birketts LLP provided an update on recent changes in UK employment law, thus assisting Vietnamese businesses in understanding and complying with regulatory requirements to ensure effective and lawful operations.

Attendees actively engaged with speakers, raising specific questions regarding human resource management and interactions with local authorities, with Birketts LLP offering detailed guidance that enhanced legal compliance and market adaptability in the UK.

Eastern Horizon Wealth Management, a licensed partner of St. James’s Place under the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), shared practical financial strategies, focusing on asset management and planning in preparation for the 2025 Autumn Budget. This session offered valuable insights for both individuals and businesses in the context of economic fluctuations

Christine Le, Founding Chair of VIFA, reiterated the Association’s mission to serve as a bridge between Vietnamese professionals and entrepreneurs in the UK and their counterparts in Vietnam. She stated that “Financial Insights 2025 not only strengthens the Vietnamese community in the UK but also lays the groundwork for deeper cooperation in finance, business, and investment between the two nations.”

Launched in June 2025 with around 100 founding members, VIFA is designed to build a cross-border ecosystem to share expertise and opportunities in finance and investment.

With practical content and the active participation of experts and business leaders, Financial Insights 2025 has become a key platform for connection and knowledge exchange, enhancing the Vietnamese business community in the UK’s knowledge of finance and law, while promoting sustainable economic growth between Vietnam and the UK, especially in finance, renewable energy, and international trade.
