EzyRemit and Sacombank-SBR strengthen strategic partnership
VOV.VN - EzyRemit Worldwide, one of Australia's leading fintech companies, held a strategic meeting with Sacombank-SBR from Vietnam at its headquarters in Sydney on February 17.

The two sides discussed expanding cooperation to enhance international money transfer and payment services between Australia and Vietnam, with the aim of delivering greater value to customers.
The meeting was attended by Nguyen Thanh Tung, Consul General of Vietnam for New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia; James Fairley from the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (AUSTRADE); Allan Nguyen, co-founder of EzyRemit; Tran Minh Khoa, Chairman and CEO of Sacombank-SBR, as well as representatives from both companies.
This event marked an important milestone in improving cross-border financial systems and optimizing remittance transactions. By combining EzyRemit's advanced fintech technology with Sacombank-SBR's solid banking platform, customers can enjoy faster, safer transactions at competitive costs.
Both sides also discussed plans to expand their operations into New Zealand, Japan, Canada, the US, and Europe, responding to the growing demand from the the overseas Vietnamese community.
Consul General Nguyen Thanh Tung lauded the partnership, emphasizing the role of both the public and private sectors in driving financial innovation, and acknowledged EzyRemit's contributions to Vietnam-Australia relations.
Tran Minh Khoa, Chairman and CEO of Sacombank-SBR, shared that the company currently holds 25% of Vietnam’s remittance market. He believes that cooperation with EzyRemit will enhance service quality while ensuring faster, safer, and more efficient transactions.
Allan Nguyen, co-founder of EzyRemit, reaffirmed that Vietnam is one of EzyRemit's key markets and expressed optimism about expanding cooperation globally in 2025.
James Fairley highlighted the natural synergies between Australia and Vietnam, noting that Vietnam is a young, tech-savvy nation, while Australia has strong financial expertise, with EzyRemit being a prime example. This creates ample opportunities for stronger collaboration.
With support from the Australian government, the New South Wales administration, and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney, EzyRemit and Sacombank-SBR pledged to advance innovative financial solutions, ensuring legal compliance, enhancing customer experiences, and promoting mutual investment, assistance, and economic growth between the two countries.
