At the workshop held by the Finance Asia magazine, Manny Narciso, head of HSBC’s global payments and cash management division in HCM City, stressed the important role of enterprises in managing their cash via bank services.

Cash management services will help businesses get real-time and detailed information on their accounts rather than waiting for statements, which can take a long time, Mr Manny said.

Businesses should know how much cash they have so they can use it most effectively and do not miss good opportunities, he added.

The services will also help businesses determine whether the amount is enough for a certain purpose or they must borrow from a bank.
