Exhibition-livestream initiative launched to boost consumption of Vietnamese products
VOV.VN - The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam has launched an exhibition-livestream initiative aimed at promoting Vietnamese goods and expanding domestic consumption.
The department on February 5 opened the “Vietnam Goods Vitality” exhibition and livestream space at 62 Trang Tien Street in Hanoi. The first livestream sales session is scheduled for the morning of February 6, officially launching a series of online sales activities linked to the exhibition.
According to the department, participating enterprises and products were carefully selected to ensure they are 100% made in Vietnam, have clear origins and meet quality standards. The programme highlights the growing manufacturing capacity, innovation and creativity of Vietnamese enterprises.
The exhibition and livestream space has been designed with a modern layout, allowing residents and visitors to explore and directly purchase products during the event.
Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, said the domestic market is playing an increasingly important role in economic growth, requiring new, flexible and effective models to connect supply and demand and support product distribution.
He said the exhibition–livestream initiative integrates direct product displays, onsite sales and digital platform sales to help expand market access for Vietnamese products.
“With its role as the organising body, the department directly coordinates the programme, selects outstanding Vietnamese enterprises and products, and facilitates connections between producers and consumers,” Linh said. He added that the department’s involvement from product selection to implementation helps ensure quality, transparency and long-term attractiveness, while building a trusted destination to promote Vietnamese goods in the capital.
During each event cycle, products from enterprises, cooperatives and household businesses will be introduced and sold through livestream sessions on the department’s official channel on TikTok.
In addition to livestream sales, visitors can directly purchase products at the exhibition during designated time slots at promotional prices. All transactions are conducted through cashless payment using VietQR, supporting modern, safe and transparent consumption.
The first livestream session, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 6, will introduce three representative product lines: Ladolvita chocolate from Lam Dong Province, Huong Que tea from Thai Nguyen Province and Huong Tu Bi incense from Hanoi, representing processed agricultural products, regional specialities and handicraft consumer goods linked to traditional cultural values.
The establishment of a permanent, regularly operating exhibition space in central Hanoi is seen as a new step in domestic market development, strengthening connections between businesses and consumers and promoting sustainable consumption of Vietnamese products.
The programme will run from February 5 to February 7, opening daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to serve residents and visitors.
